What is Google Adwords? And How Google ads work? These are common questions for beginners.

So, Google AdWords is an online advertising platform that works on the pay-per-click algorithm. It allows advertisers to show their ads on the search engine result page.

Adwords work like an auction where people bid on clicks. It’s not necessary that the highest bid always wins. Google also considers the ad quality score.

What is Google Adwords?

Google Adword is the largest online advertising platform that helps every type of business to get potential customers around the globe. Advertisers pay Google to show their ads on different ad networks.

adwords-ad-example

It is called PPC (Pay-Per-Click), which means advertisers need to pay only for clicks on ads. This PPC depends on various factors such as target location, device type, keywords, and country, etc.

What are Google Ad Networks?

Google Adwords shows advertiser’s ads on two main networks – the search network and the display network.

On the search network, Google shows the ads on the search results in the form of text ads without any graphics. Advertisers bids on relevant and different keywords. When users type these keywords on Google, then it will be displayed on the top or bottom of the page with a small ad icon next to them.

What is Google Ad Rank?

Google Ad rank is determined by two main factors, that is your ad quality score multiply by your maximum ad bid.

Google ads auction is focused on keywords. Advertisers choose a list of keywords to target. These keywords are relevant to their business offerings. Depending on the keyword’s competition and price bids, advertisers will get either upper or lower ad positions.

Quality score depends on various factors such as:

    • The relevance of the ad to the search query.
    • The relevance of the landing page.
    • The relevance of the keywords.

adwords-keywords

It is a good idea to choose a few keywords that will definitely give you results, instead of choosing 20 that seem relevant.

As mentioned earlier, AdWords manages the bidding system. High search keywords are usually the most expensive to bid for. Choosing more keywords with higher search volume may cost a lot.

There are 4 types of keywords matching:

    • Broad Match

Your ad will show for searches on relevant and similar phrases including synonyms, singular and plural forms, variations, etc.

    • Broad Match Modifier

By adding “+” before a keyword, you can lock it into a place. Only when a keyword contains a word or phrase after “+”, your keyword will appear in the search results.

    • Phrase Match

When you select phrase match, your ad will appear in the search results for keywords that are in the same order as they are specified in AdWords.

    • Exact Match

This option ensures that your ad appears only when someone searches on the same search term as the keywords you select.

6. Set Bid

Adwords uses a bidding model. A bid is the specific amount of money that you willing to pay when every single user clicks on your ad.

If you and your competitor are bidding on the same keyword and if you are paying more for a click, your ad will show higher than your competitor.

adwords-bid-system

There are two bidding options. Either you can select Google to set your bid amount to maximize results or you can set bid manually.

If you are a beginner then, you should choose automatic bidding until you get familiar with the Google Adwords system.

Writing your ad is the most essential part of this process. Before writing your ad think about it, make it interesting. Your message should be clear about your offers or services. Here are few tips to start:

    • Keep it short: Keep your message short and to the point.

Future Trends of iOS App Development

There are 20 million registered iOS developers who made $100 billion in revenue and 500 million weekly visitors to the Apple app store.

What are the future trends of iOS app development?

In 2008, there are only 500 apps in the Apple app store. As per TechCrunch, there are 20 million registered iOS developers who made $100 billion in revenue and 500 million weekly visitors to the Apple app store.

With Android, iOS is leading the mobile app development market. iOS apps surpassing around 2 million marks so, there is a big advantage to hire an iPhone app developer and build an iOS mobile app.

Future Trends of iOS App Development

Here are some future trends of iOS app development:

  • SwiftUI

SwiftUI is a user interface toolkit. Developers can design an app in a declarative way by using this toolkit. In past, developers used only imperative UI that creates many issues. Declarative UI allows the developers to know about all the possible states of the app. There is no need to write codes for moving between two states.

SwiftUI can be used as a cross-platform UI that is compatible with iOS, watchOS, tvOS, and macOS.

  • Mac Catalyst

By using Mac Catalyst, you can share the same source code and the project. So, you can convert the iPad app into the desktop app for macOS. Two apps will share the same code so, you need to update or change the code in only one place.

You can build native mac apps and can expand with new advanced features. These apps can be created natively that will run across all types of iOS devices.

In addition, this tool will add Mac windowing and desktop features and also touch controls to the mouse and keyboard.

  • Privacy & Security

Privacy and security always remain a key trend in iOS app development. Apple OS is known for advanced security features and policies that prevent an unauthorized person from breaching into any iOS device.

The company builds a secure and safe environment for iOS app users. Especially focuses on privacy and security features and issues. The overall idea is improving security and prevents cyber attacks.

For example, To coordinates the cookies and site data for signing in, Apple has deployed the ASWebAuthentication. It allows devices to use authentication services frameworks.

  • Augmented Reality

Augmented Reality is one of the key trends of ios app development. AR is the largest platform in the world. ARKit and RealityKit both are high-performance augmented reality frameworks that build AR apps so much easier.

ARKit offers some features that include People Occlusion, it allows the app to detect people and AR object’s locations. The Motion Capture feature tracks the movements. It also supports collaborative sessions and can track up to three faces at a time.

Some other ARKit features:

      • Multiple face tracking
      • Automatic estimation of image size
      • 3-D object detection
      • Simultaneous front and back camera
      • Detection up to 100 images at a time
  • iOS App Development with Flutter

Flutter is a native app development framework. Flutter is used for iOS and Android app development. In past, it was available for only Google products. But now, Flutter is being used for cross-platform app development.

Flutter was developed on the Dart language. Dart language is Google in-house programming language. It can compile the native iOS code so, it is possible to use Flutter for iOS app development. Developers can take benefits like the hot reload feature that boosts productivity.

iOS mobile app developers can use Cupertino widgets to build UI and can create different UI for iOS and Android apps.

  • Reactive Programming with Combine

Reactive programming is a paradigm that handles asynchronous data streams. I become more prominent recently in software development.

Event streams are the values that we can operate. In the reactive framework, developers can transform a stream into many different streams with operators.

The combine is a framework that is developed by Apple. It offers a declarative Swift API. It solves the problem of nested closure that occurs when we process async values. Combine provide a high-level abstraction for developers.

  • Apple HomeKit

Apple HomeKit allows developers to configure accessories and build actions to handle them. HomeKit enables the app to coordinate home automation accessories and control them.

Developers can create apps that can discover HomeKit-compatible automation accessories and add them to the database. HomeKit builds the apps much easier and more secure.

Developers can display and edit the data from the database. HomeKit enables apps to communicate with configured devices to perform actions like turning the light on and off.
