The architecture of Magento 2

features of magento 2

Magento 1 and 2 both are different in architecture. The objective of Magento 2 architecture is to make the source code as extensive and modular as possible. The idea behind this thought is to make easier adaption and customization according to the project. Every logic and functionality is made in the form of modules so that each module can work as a standalone unit.

The architecture of Magento 2 is MVVM (Model View View Model) architecture. It is related to the model view controller so that it provides separation between both the model and view layer. Let us understand the architecture of Magento 2:

Model: The model holds the logic behind the business application and it depends on the related class-reference model to access the database. Just like the MVC, it is the description of the necessary data and logic of data management. It rever to the response from view.

View: It is the graphical user interface that is displayed on the screen for the user. It responds to the user’s request. It is a structure or layout which represents the data in a particular format. The responsibility of view is to specify what the data looks like. It changes the commands and property value given by View Model.

View Model: A View Model communicates with the model layer and displays the necessary information to the view layer. It is handled by the module’s block classes of Magento 2. Remember that this is a part of the controller of the MVC system. In MVVM, the controller is just responsible for handling the user view. The View Model contains a model that can be converted to view and a command that is used to affect the model.

Layers of Magento 2

Magento 2 is divided into 4 layers presentation layer, service layer, domain layer, and persistence layer.

  1. Presentation Layer: It is the topmost layer of Magento 2 architecture. When we communicate with the interface of Magento we get connected to the presentation layer code. It has all the controller and elements for example – templet, block, layouts, css.js, etc. It calls the service layer by using service contracts. System admin and user are the users of this layer.
  2. Service Layer: It is the layer between the presentation and domain layer. It works as a bridge between presentation and domain layers and provides specific data. It implements the service contract defined by the PHP interface. This contract is used to add or change the business logic resource model without affecting the system. The service layer grants access to API.
  3. Domain Layer: The responsibility of the domain layer is to handle business logic. It does not have any resource or database-related information. It defines the object and models which contain business logic. This is basically the logic that describes which operation to perform on which specific data. It extracts data from the database using SQL calls.
  4. Presentation Layer: The resource model is described in the presentation layer, which is responsible for modification and extraction of data from the database by using CRUD requests.

Each one of them has different advantages and both are different in roles and responsibilities. Let us study in depth these two methods of app development and the difference between them.

Native Apps:

Different Platforms use different languages to develop apps using the native method of app development. Specific language on a particluar platform gives an easy-to-use that platform.  Code correction can be judged by the error that a code contains if no error the code is perfect. Apps developed by using any language can only run on specific platforms only. Every method has its advantage associated with them. Let us find out the advantage of developing a Native App:

  1. User Interface: Native apps have the most natural user interface. There are many tools available at home for creating interfaces and interactions. Native apps are very much familiar to the user and help them to use these apps with ease.

  1. Performance: If the code is correct and there is no error this may lead to a high performance which is a big advantage for the app. The native app development method allows direct communication with the software and hardware of the system without any translator.
  1. Features of the platform: Native apps give an advatage to users that they can customize their preferences accordingly.

  1. Tools: Native app development is much better than a hybrid. The tools used in native are excellent ability and abundance. They allow for better debugging and testing.

The disadvantage of a Native app

  1. Time: The same code of the native app cannot be used on more than one platform so it takes more time to rewrite the code for another platform.

  1. Human Resouces: To develop a native app for multiple platforms multiple developers are required. It takes a high amount of human resources. Every developer has specialization in different languages like an expert in android development may not know about iOs development.

Hybrid Apps:

Everyone requires that their app should develop fast and also with a low cost of development. The most common feature of the hybrid method is it is cheap and allows the development of apps faster. The code used in developing a hybrid app can be edited later when used to work with any operating system of a specific platform. Let’s have a look at the advantages of using the hybrid app development method:

  1. Time: Hybrid apps take less time to develop than native apps. Code written for hybrid app development allows code reusability.

  1. Market exposure: Using a particular platform is not at all a thing.  The hybrid method has great market exposure.

  1. Cheap: Less number of developers are required to complete a project so it is less expensive. You can say hybrid apps are pocket friendly.

  1. Easily updated: There can be many updates in a single month launched by publishers. Maintaining all updates can cost a little but these updates will affect multiple platforms so the cost is low.

Disadvantages of using a hybrid app

  1. Performance: As the discussed hybrid app can perform functions on different platforms and can be used by multiple platforms which leads to the delay in response time of a system and response time is the main feature of the performance. This delay in response time can lead to freezing apps altogether.

After reading the above article the concept regarding hybrid and native app development must be clear in your head. There is no rule of selection in app development you can choose any of these methods according to the business requirement. Read all the advantages and disadvantages of both methods and then choose the best for your business. You can find many web and mobile app development companies online you can also consult about your requirement with them and get your app developed with the best suitable method.

What is Google Adwords? and How Google Ads Work?

Google AdWords is an online advertising platform that works on the pay-per-click algorithm. It allows advertisers to show their ads on the search engine result page.

What is Google Adwords? And How Google ads work? These are common questions for beginners.

So, Google AdWords is an online advertising platform that works on the pay-per-click algorithm. It allows advertisers to show their ads on the search engine result page.

Adwords work like an auction where people bid on clicks. It’s not necessary that the highest bid always wins. Google also considers the ad quality score.

What is Google Adwords?

Google Adword is the largest online advertising platform that helps every type of business to get potential customers around the globe. Advertisers pay Google to show their ads on different ad networks.

adwords-ad-example

It is called PPC (Pay-Per-Click), which means advertisers need to pay only for clicks on ads. This PPC depends on various factors such as target location, device type, keywords, and country, etc.

What are Google Ad Networks?

Google Adwords shows advertiser’s ads on two main networks – the search network and the display network.

On the search network, Google shows the ads on the search results in the form of text ads without any graphics. Advertisers bids on relevant and different keywords. When users type these keywords on Google, then it will be displayed on the top or bottom of the page with a small ad icon next to them.

What is Google Ad Rank?

Google Ad rank is determined by two main factors, that is your ad quality score multiply by your maximum ad bid.

Google ads auction is focused on keywords. Advertisers choose a list of keywords to target. These keywords are relevant to their business offerings. Depending on the keyword’s competition and price bids, advertisers will get either upper or lower ad positions.

Quality score depends on various factors such as:

    • The relevance of the ad to the search query.
    • The relevance of the landing page.
    • The relevance of the keywords.
    • Overall Account performance and CTR

Set your budget amount and currency, click on the Save button, and move to the next step.

3. Select Target Audience

Now time to select your target audience. You can set a specific geographical location to target your audience.

With an advanced search option, you will get “Radius Targeting”. Radius targeting allows you to target a specific area in a city. Also, you can adjust bids as per the radius target.

adwords-keywords

It is a good idea to choose a few keywords that will definitely give you results, instead of choosing 20 that seem relevant.

As mentioned earlier, AdWords manages the bidding system. High search keywords are usually the most expensive to bid for. Choosing more keywords with higher search volume may cost a lot.

There are 4 types of keywords matching:

    • Broad Match

Your ad will show for searches on relevant and similar phrases including synonyms, singular and plural forms, variations, etc.

    • Broad Match Modifier

By adding “+” before a keyword, you can lock it into a place. Only when a keyword contains a word or phrase after “+”, your keyword will appear in the search results.

    • Phrase Match

When you select phrase match, your ad will appear in the search results for keywords that are in the same order as they are specified in AdWords.

    • Exact Match

This option ensures that your ad appears only when someone searches on the same search term as the keywords you select.

6. Set Bid

Adwords uses a bidding model. A bid is the specific amount of money that you willing to pay when every single user clicks on your ad.

If you and your competitor are bidding on the same keyword and if you are paying more for a click, your ad will show higher than your competitor.

adwords-bid-system

There are two bidding options. Either you can select Google to set your bid amount to maximize results or you can set bid manually.

If you are a beginner then, you should choose automatic bidding until you get familiar with the Google Adwords system.

7. Write Your Ad

Writing your ad is the most essential part of this process. Before writing your ad think about it, make it interesting. Your message should be clear about your offers or services. Here are few tips to start:

    • Keep it short: Keep your message short and to the point.
    • Headlines: You can write two headlines with 30 characters each. So, use this limited space wisely.
    • Description: 80-90 characters. Mention offers or discounts in the description.
    • A clear call to action: Tell users what you want them to do with a clear call to action.
